The Singer - Songwriter

Duff started writing music at a very young age inspired by his sister who also played and sang and had a colourful collection of folk and classic country albums. The prairies of Canada was a wonderful immersion into this type of music playing on the radio in the early 70's.

He studied songwriting and attended seminars in Vancouver writing along with some well seasoned musicians and making demo's of some of his original songs. 

Duff's vocals have been compared to the likes of David Bowie, Gordon Lightfoot and Ray LaMontagne.  His music has hints of Soul, Country, Pop and Indie Folk with deep roots in the Scottish Irish Celtic culture, his music surely has infusions of this as well.  

A dynamic performer with over 30 years experience, he sings with true deep connection to the music with heartfelt emotion and empathy. 

He writes from his life 50 years of experience and deep history of loss and love, lost and found. 

His first album ROOTS, made completely on his own, was a true cross section of many styles and his dedication to his varied and multi-faceted musical career. It was received with much success and garnered favourable reviews. The new album NAKED is a critical success and has received airplay globally.

The latest single  "PENNIES, NICKELS & DIMES"  reached #1 on the Canadian Indie Country Music Countdown charts and was compared to the classic and iconic music of Gordon Lightfoot.
